Lucy Thane

and the Drawing & Dancing Society

Part of The Architecture of Anxiety, 27 Guildhall Street, Folkestone

Lucy Thane and the Drawing and Dancing Society invite you to join them on a voyage of pussy craft and creation.

Back in the near mythical San Francisco of the 1990s, Lucy made a giant replica of her own pussy in the skirt of a gingham dress and wore it on a chain-swing, inspired by Fragonard’s “The Swing”, “which allowed respectable gentlemen to look up ladies’ skirts” (Kate Evans, Art history teacher). Somewhere in the mists of time, all traces of the dress were lost, and she misses it, so for the Architecture of Anxiety, Lucy will be reconstructing her new (older) Pussy dress.

You are invited to join Lucy in this process, bring your own sketches and craft your own wearable pussies in a variety of mediums, for a pussy parade through Folkestone at the end of the exhibition. The workshops will take place in a number of stages and you are welcome to drop in to as many or few as you wish.

No public nudity is required at any part of this process!

Further info will be available to collect from 27 Guildhall Street or to download from luckybert.com/pussycouture on or after 27th October.
